I have always been looking for the perfect pair of sandals as I have a problem with my ankle. Other brands would be ok for a while then the would bother me . But I don't have to look any more birkie's are the best shoes made for feet.They are also very durable I have had a pair for 2 years and they are still in very good condition. They are simply the best.

I had a stress-related fracture on my left foot. When I had recovered, I found that nothing was comfortable. My Dr. said I would need a "firm" sole. That lead to my first pair of birkenstock's, they felt so good. Now, I have several, and I guess I'm hooked for life. Those are the shoes I wear everywhere, and never suffer. Good to know they are available and reasonable on the net.

About six years ago I was having severe pain in my arches and had received little help from doctors. We were on our way to Disney World, and stopped in a Birkenstock store on the way and I picked up my first pair. I was skeptical that they would help, but within a week I could tell the difference. I just bought my seventh pair, but I'm still wearing the first pairs I bought too. Best shoes I've ever worn!

In 11/01, I fell, dislocated my ldet foot, and broke both bones in my left leg. There are nine screws, one rod, and a lag bolt holding my heel on. The only shoe I can wear is Birkenstock. I have one pair that had to be cut down around the ankle to allow for the swelling. The past 11/02, I fould out I had broken my neck in the same accident. After four screws, a metal plate, and harvested bone, I'm still wearing the Birkies. Nothing else works. My orthopod thinks I'm nuts. Wait til he breaks something. I'm on my way to but an enclosed pair for the snow. Thank you. A devoted RN fan who recommends them to everyone I meet.

I just discovered birkenstocks and I cannot get eonough. I love the blue ostrich Alice's I just ordered. The shipping time was only 2 days!!!!!

This was my first experience with Birkenstock's. Not only was I VERY happy with the product itself, but the continual e-mail letting me know the status of my order was FABULOUS! This site is as good as the product they sell. My hat is off to you, and my feet LOVE you!

I wear my Birkenstocks in a professional setting, where all my co-workers continue to wear shoes that hurt their feet. People do make comments about their appearance, but all I can say is that they are the BEST shoes I have ever put on my feet. I have five pairs, I wear them all the time, and there is nothing in the world like them. Nothing!

I have a problem with my feet, and since I have been wearing birkenstocks, I feel great! I also developed a heel spur and since I have been wearing the birkenstock shoes, its totally gone!!I can't say enought about the birkenstock shoes...They are awesome!!!!

I have plantar faciitis. I had laser surgery 8 wks ago and was still in terrible pain. Also had custom orthodics made. I read about Birkenstocks. I bought a pair of the sandals. They are wonderful.They even feel better than the custom orthodics. Could have saved myself $300 for those. I am a server and could not even think about going back to work. I am now buying my second pair of work type shoe and am going back to work. They are worth the money. I will tell anyone with plantars to run to get a pair.

I have been wearing birki's for about 12 years and can't believe I ever wore ill-fitting dress shoes what pinched my feet. Never again. I especially love the thong styles but please don't quit making all styles with the narrow width option - I also love your softer insoles.
