When my daughter started college I berated her for spending so much money on a pair of shoes,(her first pair of Birk's)especially when money was so tight. She was so happy and wore them year round with wool socks at UNH, she bragged about how "happy" her feet were and she bragged that they helped her to get rid of her backaches. About a year later I found a pair of Birk Arizona's in my size, discounted to only $15.00 at a major chain outlet store. The price was right for me! Now about fifteen years later I wear nothing but Birk's. My most expensive pair is my favorite lace-up "Derby's" and I never flinched at the price. I wear them most of the winter and they look great with slacks. They are so well made, I've worn them camping, blueberry picking, in the slush and snow and with a gentle wipe with a damp cloth and a coat of polish, they still look brand new and they are four years old. A great investment in my personal comfort! I own 18 pairs in assorted styles and colors. I work in a very visible professional position in my community and at first was worried about the styles not being dressy enough to wear with suits, dresses and skirts. Well, I have proudly worn my "Birk's" to the last three Innaugural Balls for our newly elected Governor's! I'm sure I was the most comfortable person there! When I'm home I love to be barefoot, now when I'm on my feet for a long time I put on my Birks for the comfort and to put my body back into its natural position. I used to by inexpensive shoes in the colors to match all my outfits and they would wear out quickly and break down. Now I "invest in my comfort" and find I have "happy" feet too. I LOVE MY BIRK'S. I'm purchasing two new pair from your site today! Thank you for the great Bargain section at your site!
