I have had problems with my feet for the past several years. It first started with a fracture to my left heel which was never corrected and then I ended up with a heel spur. I never received any relief through doctors or specialists. I also have a very high instep as well as very wide feet.I have always had trouble finding any shoes that were comfortable.Then I decided to treat myself to a pair of Birkenstock's. I had wanted to try them for years,and now since I have, I don't wear anything else. They are the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I take off a night! They are absolutely fabulous!! I have no more foot pain from the high insteps or the heel spur, it is really amazing! I tell everybody about Birkenstock's every chance I get! I must tell you that the lady with 150 pairs of Birks beats us. My mom has worn Birks since the beginning of time. My family bought a place just outside of Key West in 1970. These were times of unbridled diversity and creativity. Key West was full of vagabond hippie types (who actually crafted things to sell and swap)and lovely gay couples able to hold hands on the streets and actually enjoy life and each other. Of course, those same couples invested in the island in order to preserve the flavor and history of Key West. Now the crafts are mass produced and much less interesting. BUT, I can always count on Duval Birkenstock to be there. I get to view a huge variety of styles and materials. Even with online access I find each store special offering unique styles, often at a bargain. With the birth of Birkenstock Central, I no longer have to wait to go to Key West to get the greatest footwear on earth. Even my mom loves to get the catalog, it is beautiful!!!
