I wear Birkenstocks almost all the time. These are comfy and good with jeans, work well for walking short distances, and can be dressy enough for a skirt or dress pants.
But the straps look too "plastic". If they were leather, I think they'd look more authentically Birkenstock....

I first learned of Birkenstock's in 2000. I was in the hospital with my mom during her labor of my baby brother, folks that was 4 years ago. I saw the nurse and fell in LOVE with her shoes. When she told me how much they cost I laughed so hard in her face. I then started working at the same hospital and found that everyone was wearing them> By now I had to have a pair needless to say that was 5 years ago and I have owned 7 pairs of these shoes and I wear them all the time and will not wear anything else my fiancee also laughed at the price. But he knows now that I will wear them anywhere even to church. Keep up the wonderful job and I will continue to buy them!! YEA!!! In fact I am going this week to get a new pair. My mother who also thought they were horrible looking now owns her first pair of Birk's and is a bus driver but swears she will wear them in the winter as well to work. I L O V E my Birk's. Again GREAT JOB. I will wear this brand for life.

I've been wearing sandals for yrs.my 1stpair are ready for recrafting,but I needed shoes for work ordered your Madison and they have been the greatest my boss does'nt complain to me any more about wearing the sandals with socks which I like to do,please make more enclosed shoe styles.My feet feel the best when I wear birks and that is all I wear now all the time.
