After foot surgery I needed something to wear to work on my casual days that were a little "dressier" than my usual Arizonas. These were perfect. The straps didn't rub too hard on my incision and I'm able to wear these wherever I need to go.

Everytime I wear these at work I get a complement, both from co-workers and from patients.They are so comfortable, that I hardly notice when my 12 hour shift stretches to over 13 hours. I love Birkenstocks, and have some that are ten years old and still going strong. I only work 3 days a week, and never wear them 2 days in a row, so that helps with keeping them from wearing out.

I bought two pairs of this style last year. I wore them so much! They are so much tighter on the foot than regular birks, and so they work great for walking in uneven places and walking for a long time. The only con is they are warmer, as they have more leather than most birks, but I loved how they fit the foot--almost like wearing a full shoe, but way more comfortable in heat. Great design!

I wear my Birk's, Pappilo, and all the others all the time. I dont' wear anything but Birkenstock products. I know my feet will feel good at the end of the day and not all worn out like wearing high heels. You can't go wrong buying these shoes.
