I bought my first pair of Birks 4 years ago. At the time I had a job that required me to stand for 8 hours a day. I bought a pair of Bostons and my feet never complained again. I have a bery high arch and most shoes don't give me the support I need. But the Birks are the BEST SHOES IN THE WORLD!! I put them ON when my feet hurt!! I will never buy any other shoe.

I have the Birkenstock incerts for my New Balence walking shoes. I think I could stand for days on end now if I could just stay awake.

after standing for 20 years working on a concrete floor i developed excruciating foot pain.i thought once i quit working and off my feet the pain would stop.but,it didn't.i went to the doctor and i was suffering from plantar fascia,so i had surgery.my doctor told me to invest in a pair of birkenstocks,that they would help my feet.here is a shoe i hadn't even heard of.now i have 9 pairs! that's been 23 months ago since my surgery.i will not and cannot wear other shoes.the birkenstock have saved my life.keep up the good work. cindi harpster

This site is the best. The service is unbeatable and the selection is beyond compare. I only wear Birkis now, having suffered from heel pain for over three years prior to discovering these. Clogs in the winter, sandals in the summer, and I just started using a Birki insoles in my golf shoes and am having GREAT results. Keep up the good work.

I have been having trouble w/plantar faciaiitis and heel spurs in both feet. I am a bedside nurse and put on many miles/day. After multiple injections, night splints, medication,PT, I finally gave in & bought Birkenstock after the doc's recommendation. I drove an hour to get to the nearest store, the gal was GREAT-helped fit me and as much pain I was in at the time, as soon as I put on the shoe, I got relief!!! I bought 4 pr. work, house only,(no more bare feet as recommended by dr.) clogs for casual and a pr. more practical for weather related wearing. I'm still in the breaking in phase- but am certain it was the best money i've spent. Plus it kept me out of the operating room, which was my next step. i highly suggest going to a store and getting fitted the first time. i wear 2 sizes depending on the shoe.

For my sister's birthday, I decided to have her old Birkenstocks resoled. I was sending my Sydneys which I had worn nearly ever day for the last 5 years (and worn out!) to be rebuilt and thought of her shoes languishing in the closet. So, I boxed them up and sent them to your repair department. I bought a different pair of Sydneys from your company a few years ago (I had black nubuck and bought the patent leather) and knew you had a repair service. Since I was happy with your service when I bought that pair, I thought of your company to fix our shoes. I felt lost without my shoes, even though I wore the patent leather ones while my beloved shoes were in your care. You had them back to us in less than 3 weeks, including shipping both ways. They look great and made my sister and I very happy. Thank you!
